Friday FAQ: Do I Need to Be Home for Pest Control?

Many of our customers ask this before an appointment. The good news is you don’t need to be home in most cases. That is because the most important work happens outside your house.

Why outdoor treatment matters most

Pests start outside. That is where they live and look for a way in. By treating the yard, foundation, and entry points we are cutting off their route before they get inside. That means fewer bugs, spiders, and rodents entering your living spaces.

When indoor treatment makes sense

Indoor treatment is optional. We only do it if you want it. Some reasons to consider indoor treatment:

  • You are already noticing pests indoors

  • Someone at home has allergies or asthma

  • You prefer a full-layered approach in high-risk areas

  • You want extra peace of mind

What happens on days your home is empty

When you’re not home, we’ll treat the exterior and leave the interior untouched unless you’ve requested indoor service. That keeps things safe, efficient, and still effective. Everything is explained clearly before your appointment so you know what will happen.

How this helps you, the homeowner

  • No need to rearrange your day:
Outdoor-only treatment means service happens while you're out—no waiting at home.

  • Savings by choice:
Indoor treatment is optional, so you only pay for what you actually need.

  • Smart prevention from the outside in:
Focusing on the exterior stops pests before they reach your doors or windows.

Still have questions?

Our team is happy to answer your questions before, during, or after the appointment. We can always add indoor treatment later if you change your mind.
