Friday FAQ: Why Did You Put the In2Care Station There?
Once we place your In2Care mosquito station, you might be tempted to shift it somewhere more visible, closer to your patio, or just… somewhere “more convenient.” We get it. But here’s the truth: moving the station—even a little—can seriously reduce its effectiveness.
In fact, the best thing you can do for mosquito control is to leave that station exactly where we put it.
🦟 In2Care Attracts Mosquitoes—So You Don’t Want to Be Nearby
The In2Care system works by luring mosquitoes to a special station with an attractant. When a female mosquito lands inside, she picks up a treatment that spreads to breeding sites and kills larvae.
But here’s the catch: humans are way more attractive to mosquitoes than anything inside that trap. If you place it near where you relax, grill, or play, mosquitoes will likely go for you first—and completely ignore the station.
That’s why we place each unit:
Away from patios, doorways, and high-traffic areas
In shady, mosquito-prone spots where they rest and breed
In strategic positions to maximize the system’s spread and impact
🙅♀️ Please Don’t Move It
We’ve assessed your yard, identified hot spots, and chosen the best placement for your property’s layout. Moving it—even a few feet—can disrupt how well it performs.
We also recommend avoiding activities near the unit (like sitting or grilling nearby) so mosquitoes aren’t tempted to detour.
Want to make the most of your mosquito service? Trust the placement, and let the station do the work. We’ll monitor, refresh, and adjust as needed during your scheduled visits.
